Bottle cap animals

I'm going to tell you how to make bottle cap animals. They're actually pretty easy to make. All you need is:

1. felt (any color)

2. a hot glue gun

3. felt scissors

4. googly eyes

5. a bottle cap (any size)

6. any color marker.

Before you begin, make sure you know which animal you are going to make. For example say that I am going to make an elephant. I would want to use a big bottle cap, and grey felt. For the face I would use a black marker so that it would be bold. To start out you want to take the glue gun and plug it in so it can warm up. Make sure that there is a tissue or a paper towel under it so that if it drips, then it won't get on the table or anything else. Then you want to measure the felt to make sure that it fits inside the bottle cap. Cut it out using felt scissors. If you don't have felt scissors then regular scissors are fine, but they are harder to handle then felt scissors. After you have done that then you put hot glue on the felt circle or the bottle cap and stick it on. Wait for a few minutes for it to dry and the use a marker to make a face. If you need or want to make ears for your animal then you should cut out any size felt and hot glue it to the back of the bottle cap so that the top is sticking out. If you want to, you can also put googly eyes on it to make it look like it has eyes.

School, Apartments, and More School

We started school a couple of weeks ago. It's a lot different then school over there since it is a Montessori school. In two days, October 3, my class will go to a city called Pottenstein for a field trip. We will stay 3 days and 2 nights. School starts over here at 7:45 and ends at 12:45, but Wednesday is like the fourth of July and so we don't have school. I have to go into school on Wednesday at 9:00 because our bus leaves at 9:00. The worst part about this trip is that there is no electronics allowed. What am I going to do!!!!!!! I can't talk to anybody because nobody speaks English. But we are going swimming so thats good. I know you want to see some pictures so here are the pictures from school and our new apartment.

This is our whole school gathered in the hall for an assembly. It was really crowded.

This is my teacher, Tina. We don't call her anything else but Tina.

This is me and Hanna's room. It's usally that messy.

This is our living room where we usally hang out.

This is our dining room where we eat our meals (most of the time).

This is our really small kitchen but that is about as big as they get in Germany.

This is my mom and dad's room which is usually clean.

This is our hallway where we keep our backpacks.

This is our really small bathroom (that's about how big bathrooms get too).

This is our apartment building and we are on the second floor.

Paris, France

Paris is awesome! We took the metro a lot. We have seen the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and we went on a boat tour of Paris. It took 8 or 9 hours to get to Paris from Germany. In Germany, we found an aparment to live in for 1 year. Our hotel room in Paris is small but really nice. The windows in the hotel room open straight out, and some hotel rooms even have balconies that have views of the Eiffel Tower. Did you know that at 10:00 P.M. the Eiffel Tower lights up? Its really pretty and really cool. On Friday we are going to go to Disneyland Paris. I am really excited to go. Our hotel in Paris is right next to the Luxembourg Gardens. In the Luxembourg Gardens, there is a little lake that you can rent sailboats and launch them in the lake. The Luxembourg Gardens also have a really nice playground. Its huge! It also has a really big zipline. Its awesome! Paris is awesome!

The Airplane

We got to go on an an airplane. The fist one we went on was tiny. We went to Washington D.C. airport from the Cleveland airport. When we went from the Washington D.C. airport to the Germany airport, the plane was ten times bigger then the first plane. On the second plane you got to have your own DVD player and you could watch whatever you wanted. I watched Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. It was really good. When we got to Germany, it was 8:00 in the morning which was 2:00 in the morning here. We were so tired. When we got to the hotel, we fell asleep in 2 seconds.

Getting Ready To Go

Today we had to pack all of our suitcases. It wasn't very fun. We are going to leave in two days. I am so excited. I will post a lot of pictures when I get there and when I am on the plane. I will have more interesting things to write about when I get to Germany.
